Children in Need
As a school we raised money for children in need. We even had a visit from Pudsey and the BBC radio Lancashire! We had a breakfast together and took part in some fun activities.
Community Tea
We welcomed some of our local community into school for our regular community tea. They were served by the children and had a Christmas performance from year 2.
Charity Work
We raised money for St Johns hospice by taking part in the Elf run. We ran a mile and had lots of fun. some of our parents game to cheer us on!
The Global Ambassadors did a worship on looking after the planet. They talked about the plastic problem and why we should recycle.
Enterprise day
We raise money for different charities all over the world. We make and sell different things to try and make back more money than we have spent. The year 5s and 6s are amazing at looking after the little ones and will take them to visit all the different stalls.
We celebrated the Royal Wedding together with our very own street party!
Year 5 have made some presentations about how we can deal with the plastic crisis! They shared them with the other classes in school.
The GLAMs team went down to the centre in Halton to find out how they can help look after the world by planting wild flowers.
Cherry Class have been looking after our allotment. They picked some strawberries for us to eat at lunch time.
Scott McTominay came to visit us at school. We loved celebrating his achievements with him!
We have collected so many gifts at our harvest festival. We then took the gifts to people in the village and also sent some to the olive Branch in Lancaster.
Reception have been making gifts for their friends in year 3. We went to deliver them to show them how much we love them.
Ash and Willow Class have been looking at the festival Diwali. We made lanterns and firework biscuits, and talked about similarities and differences between Diwali and Christmas.
Year 5 went to visit the Jewish museum in Manchester.
